スポーツ庁と日本製薬団体連合会により「スポーツにおける医薬品の不適切使用の防止に関する共同宣言」に調印させていただきました。この共同宣言に基づき、スポーツ関連団体及び製薬・医薬関連団体等と連携し、国民のライフパフォーマンス向上のため、この公衆衛生上の問題に取り組んでまいります。これまではトップアスリートのアンチドーピングにおける分野での取り組みがメインでしたが、広く社会に貢献できるように内容を拡大しました。医薬品の不適切使用によるオーバードース問題や健康被害、さらには死亡例もあります。また、青少年の健全な環境を守ることも大変重要な観点です。最近では、サプリや輸入品などに不純物が混入するケースも多く、注意喚起が必要です。スポーツの素晴らしさは、自らの内在する力を最大限に生かすところにあります。
We have signed the “Joint Declaration on the Prevention of Improper Use of Pharmaceuticals in Sports” with the Japan Sports Agency and the Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Associations of Japan. Based on this joint declaration, we will collaborate with sports-related organizations and pharmaceutical and medical-related organizations to address this public health issue and enhance the life performance of the public. Previously, our focus was on anti-doping measures for top athletes, but now we aim to contribute more broadly to society by expanding our anti-doping philosophy. Issues such as overdoses, health damages, and fatalities caused by improper use of pharmaceuticals are significant concerns. Protecting a healthy environment for young people is also a crucial aspect. Recently, cases of contamination in supplements have increased, and there is a need to raise awareness. The true beauty of sports lies in maximizing one’s inherent abilities.
